Tumblr provides color options to enhance the look of your blog’s text and hyperlinks. If you apply a Tumblr theme to your page, these templates usually include color options in the Appearance section in Customize view. For example, the Just Plain Theme includes color charts for the text and link text hover. Your Dashboard will still show the standard black text, but the posts on the blog page will update with your selected color. Choosing the right hues to express the content or emotion of your blog will help make your message stand out to your viewers.
Click your avatar in the sidebar of your Dashboard to open the blog page. The Customize menu button will display in the page header.
Click "Customize" to open the page with a sidebar, and then click the "Appearance" button to expand the options list.
Click a color category for the theme, such as the "Text," "Accent" or "Highlight Color" box, in the Appearance section to open the color spectrum chart. Click in the spectrum chart to preview the preferred color. Click "X" to close this chart window.
Click "Save" in the sidebar and then click Close" to close this sidebar. The blog page will show the updated text color.
